Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- The current DFL front runner in the 8th district congressional race nabbed a labor union endorsement today.
The vote to support Rick Nolan was unanimous by the Teamsters Commission and affirmed by the Teamsters Joint Council 23 Executive Board.
The union represents 62,000 working and retired members in Minnesota.
Nolan told the teamsters today that with their help, he will be elected this November.
"We fully hope and expect we'll be getting more labor endorsements as a result of my record as a union man and as a legislator and I'm excited about that, very important."
Also vying to unseat Republican Congressman Chip Cravaack under the DFL ticket are Jeff Anderson and Tarryl Clark.
