Grand Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Itasca County Attorney says a criminal complaint has been filed charging a 19–year–old man from Hibbing, Minn., with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Assault in the Second Degree, Terroristic Threats and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon on School Property.

According to the St. Louis County Attorney, these charges stem from allegations that the teen possessed, both on and off Grand Rapids High School property, a loaded handgun with which he threatened two high school students.

The two students told police that after a minor altercation in a school parking lot they left the area. They say the suspect followed them to an intersection and showed them a handgun and threatened to shoot them.

The kids took off and reported the incident to police. Officers located and stopped the suspect near the school. In his car they found a .22 caliber handgun.

Bail was set at $100,000 without conditions or $50,000 with conditions when the teen appeared in court yesterday. The conditions include attending all court appearances, keeping in contact with his attorney, no use of drugs/alcohol, random testing, no firearms and no contact with the victims. The teen's next court appearance is on March 31.
