Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A semi crashed into the yard of a residence on 43rd Avenue East and London Road in Duluth early this afternoon.

The semi, owned by Challenger Motor freight, failed to negotiate a turn, ran through a lane of traffic and careened into a yard stopping short of hitting the residence.

The driver allegedly told authorities that he couldn't stop. A second driver was in the cab of the car sleeping at the time of the incident.

Workers at Lake City Towing say tires were in tact and the crash may have been caused by weather conditions and speed. Workers are currently removing large rocks from the yard before towing the semi to ensure the trucks fuel tank is not spiked in the process.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Assisting agencies included Duluth Police Department, the Minnesota State Trooper commercial vehicle inspector, Lake City Towing Company.
