Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Dozens of chess players took on a master Friday at the Suites in Duluth's Canal Park.
International Chess master John Bartholomew competed against 35 people tonight at the same time.
It was so quiet during the game you could hear a pin drop.
Friday's game was a warm up for the second annual Twin Ports Open.
Organizers say the game of Chess can be enjoyed by nearly everyone.
"You can think, you don't have to be really coordinated throwing a ball or anything like that, almost anybody can play, people with disabilities, like almost anybody, I think it's really cool," said Dane Zagar with the Twin Ports Open.
More than $1,500 in prizes are being offered during the event.
Registration will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday at the Suites Hotel.
