Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After a winter most people want to forget, the Superior Chamber of Commerce is having some fun. Calling this season the "snowpocalypse", chamber and city officials kicked off a contest this morning.

From now until May 23rd, residents and tourists can submit their guess for when they think this snow pile behind the Ole Haugsrud Stadium will be gone, for the chance to win prizes.

Meanwhile, Superior elementary school children can win a pizza party if they correctly guess what height the pile will be by 12 p.m. on May 30th.

"It's just a way to poke fun at, uh, mother nature and, uh, and tell winter spring is here and we want to enjoy summer,” President/CEO, Superior Chamber, David Minor, said.

To submit your guesses, you can head to the Chamber's Facebook page by clicking here.

By the way, the "Snowpocalypse" shirts, seen here, are available for purchase. All proceeds will go to the Salvation Army.
