St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com ) -- Drunk driving deaths on Super Bowl Sunday tally zero deaths during the last four years and are encouraged to keep that streak alive.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safey is urging fans to keep the streak alive by planning for a sober ride home.
Several law enforcement agencies around the state will be stepping up DWI enforcement patrols to watch for drunk drivers.
For Minnesota Super Bowl Sunday from 2008-2012:
- Nine traffic deaths, one of which was alcohol-related (2008)
- 1,101 motorists arrested for DWI
