Duluth, MN (Northalnd's NewsCenter) -- The support behind Honor Flight Northland continued in Duluth Sunday night.

A spaghetti dinner was held at Grandma's Sports Garden in Canal Park.

The proceeds will go towards the non–profit...which was created solely to honor veterans living in the Northland.

104 vets are set to take off on the area's first ever honor flight.
They'll be heading to Washington D.C to visit and reflect on their memorials.

"Oh it is super...it is really good. Seeing the World War II memorial, being on the trip with my World War II buddies," said Len Bauman, WWII Army Veteran.

Some of the vets we spoke with said they're looking forward to the bonding experience they'll share with other veterans.

The first honor flight is scheduled to take off on May 14th.
