Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Three people have been charged in connection with five recent car break-ins and thefts at multiple locations in Superior.

Police say that Linzie M. Crandall, Sean Patrick Saylor, and Heather L. Goodreau, all from Duluth, MN, are all being held at the St. Louis County Jail on charges connected to the car break-ins.

Charges include Party to a Crime of Criminal Damage to Property, Theft, and Financial Card Crimes. The charges are the result of a joint investigation with the Duluth Police Department.

Police say the group would allegedly break out the windows on the cars and then remove valuables such as credit cards and other banking information. The credit cards where then immediately used to purchase electronic items.

Police believe that the purchased items were then traded for narcotics.

The car break-ins occurred at the Arrowhead Pier, Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) and the University of Wisconsin Superior (UWS).

Authorities urge residents to protect their belongings by not keeping valuable items in their vehicles. If you have to keep valuable items in your car, police advise you to store them away so they are not readily visible.
