Moose Lake, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A two–car crash just south of Moose Lake Sunday afternoon has sent three people to area hospitals with moderate to severe injuries.

Carlton County Sheriff Kelly Lake says the accident occurred along County Road 61, in Moose Lake Township.

87–year–old Phoebe Benson, of Barnum, was traveling south in a 2012 Chevy Impala when she made a left turn in front of a 1993 Ford Taurus traveling northbound.

31–year–old Randy Habisch of Sturgeon Lake was driving the Taurus with 20–year–old Eryn Zebrasky of Bruno.

All parties were originally transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake. Zebrasky was later air lifted to North Memorial Hospital, in Maple Grove, while Habisch was transferred to St. Lukes.

Authorities say drugs, alcohol, or speed doesn't seem to be a factor.
