New details are emerging tonight regarding the Minnesota–native who's facing murder charges nearly seven months after his wife died.
49 year old Carl Muggli was arrested in Texas yesterday.

The criminal complaint shows a string of Facebook messages Carl Muggli allegedly had with a woman from Alabama.

In the months leading up to his wife Linda's death...Muggli and the other woman messaged each other saying they loved each other and talked about getting married.

This is a photo from our Partners at the Duluth News Tribune of Carl Muggli and his wife last year.

The complaint goes on to include e–mails Muggli sent to realtors in Texas...just days before Linda's death.

Authorities say Muggli was also inconsistent when explaining how his wife died.

When authorities got to the Muggli home that day Linda was lying beneath a totem pole the couple had been carving.

Soon after Linda died, Muggli moved from Koochiching County...to Texas.

On May 30th the woman Muggli was allegedly having an affair with spoke with an officer by phone.

She told the officer that on the night of Linda's death, she heard the two arguing about a divorce over the phone.

After hanging up, she received another call from Muggli 30 minutes later...he told her his wife got into an accident and that medical pesonal were assisting her.

When Linda Muggli's death was first reported last November, it was depicted as a tragic accident in which Linda died doing something she loved.

But as law enforcement further investigated the incident...they found that things just didn't add up.
