Trial Set From Man Accused Of Going On Shooting Spree In Chisholm Bar

Chisholm, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) A trial date has now been set for the Iron Range man who allegedly went on a shooting spree at Jim’s Bar in March of 2010.

Thursday a trial was set for January 17th for 48 year old Jason Musburger.

The criminal complaint says Musburger walked into the crowded Chisholm bar and opened fire.

Ed Walberg was shot to death, while Cale Nelson and Larry Elj were both wounded.

Musburger has been charged with one count of first degree murder, two charges of first degree attempted murder, one count of second degree attempted murder, two counts of harassment and one count of carrying a pistol without a permit.
