Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - State law requires voters to register before they cast their vote.
Registered voters don't have to re–register unless they change their name, move, or haven't voted within four years.
Don't worry if you miss the deadline, however, as voters can also register at the polls on Election Day. You'll need to bring some verification of your identity, such as a driver's license, student or tribal ID. Either a utility bill or a registered voter can be used to confirm your address.
You can find a voter registration application at a local election office, or online, at the Secretary of State's website.
You can also find out if you're registered to vote, and find your Polling Place online.
