Douglas County, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with a home burglary where two girls were babysitting an infant.

20 year old Alexander Rohling and 18 year old Austin Clement, both of Poplar, have been charged with Burglary in connection with a home break-in over the weekend. Clement also had an outstanding warrant for bail jumping.

Authorities received a call around 1:45 Saturday afternoon on the report of a break-in that was in-progress at a home near CTH P and Olson Road between Poplar and Lake Nebagamon in Douglas County, WI.

Officers say that a 15 year old girl and a 14 year old girl were in the basement of the home babysitting an infant when they heard someone kick in the upstairs door.

They grabbed a telephone and locked themselves in a downstairs bathroom and called 911. They told dispatch that they heard at least two men talking upstairs.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found footprints leading away from the house. One officer picked up the track on a nearby snowmobile trail and was able to chase down the suspect.

One of the suspects was taken into custody as they exited the woods. The second suspect was taken into custody a short time later a nearby residence.
