Duluth, MN (The Northland's NewsCenter) - The veterans will take part in what is called an 'Honor Flight' to view the World War Two Memorial in our nation's capital.

Many Northland Veterans have never had a chance to view the memorial and organizers say it is important to them to have that opportunity.

65 Veterans have already signed up, but donations are needed to ensure their spot on the flight.

City Councilman Dan Hartman says, "We've got about 35 seats left still and were looking to fill those up. But also, of course, were trying to raise money to pay for the thing so if there is someone out there who is willing to give a good donation to make this a reality even more for even future years, we can always use that help right now."

You can register for the flight or make a donation by visiting www.honorflightnorthland.org

The organization is also in need of Guardians to accompany the Veterans on their trip.
