Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The men and women that have served our county are getting the chance of a lifetime to visit the nation's Capitol.
Those participating in the 6th Honor Flight Northland met each other for the first time at Duluth Denfeld Saturday.
Honor flight is a non–profit organization that transports our veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect on their memorials.
"I'm honored to go. I've never been to Washington D.C. I took my basic at Fort Dix, New Jersey and then I went overseas. I want to see D.C.," said veteran, Bruce Johnson.
This year's Honorflight will take off June 8th.
Priority in this flight goes to World War Two veterans with remaining seats going to veterans from other conflicts.
