Duluth, MN (Northland's Newscenter) - Northland Veterans who traveled to Washington D.C. on Honor Flight Northland to visit the war memorials reunited and reminisced Saturday.

Hundreds of World War Two, Korean and Vietnam War veterans, along with their families and guardians gathered at Denfeld High School.

Veterans said they were excited to swap stories with others who went on one of the three trips to the Nations capital this year.

Many said they wouldn't have had such a good experience without the help of the guardians who accompanied them on the trip.

"I really appreciate my guardian I had, she was real nice, and in fact, I got a bunch of pictures yesterday from here that turned out real well. I gotta admire the guardians that came along because they put out a lot to take care of us out there," Raymond Tiili, a veteran, said.

The three Honor Flight Northland trips took place in May, September and October.
