Kelliher, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Authorities have released the name of the victim who sustained serious injuries after he was stuck in an auger.
21 year old Scott Olson of Blackduck, MN was airlifted to an unidentified hospital by North Memorial Air Care after he sustained injuries to his extremities and torso from being stuck in an auger.
Authorities were able to stabilize Olson for the air ambulance transport. His condition is unknown at this time.
On Tuesday, September 18th, the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an industrial accident involving a worker at the Helblad Saw Mill in Kelliher, Minnesota, about 55 miles north of Bemidji.
Once officers arrived on scene, Olson had already been freed from the auger and was receiving first aid for his injuries.
Kelliher First Responders, Kelliher Fire Department, Blackduck Ambulance, a Minnesota DNR Conservation Officer and Beltrami County Deputies all responded to the scene.
