Voyageurs National Park Removes Buoys and Says No Hunting

Voyageurs National Park removed buoys and all hazard markers today.

The park has also released a reminder to hunters that no hunting or trapping is allowed at the park.

Hunting and trapping is also not allowed on any waters within park boundaries and game shot outside of the boundaries cannot be brought inside.

Misdemeanor violations will result in 10 thousand dollars and or six months in jail.

Felony violations may result in 20 thousand dollars, 5 years in jail and forfeiting of hunting equipment.
