Duluth Officer Struck By Car

A Duluth Police Officer suffered minor injuries yesterday afternoon when he was struck by a passing motorist.

The officer was conducting a routine traffic stop on Skyline Parkway when he his arm was struck by the side-view mirror of a passing motorist.

The driver of the vehicle, Donald Dallmann, Jr., was detained by the police and cited for driving with a cancelled driver's license, careless driving, and no proof of insurance.

The Duluth Police Department would like to remind citizens to slow down and proceed cautiously when approaching emergency vehicles with their lights activated.
