The Minnesota Ballet premieres Robert Gardner’s production of the gothic story of Dracula this weekend. Courtney Godfrey talks with dancer Reinhard von Rabenau about the performance, his role, and how the dance troupe has been preparing for the shows.

In the tradition of the novel by Bram Stoker, the ballet depicts the story of a vampire-count, who leaves his castle in Transylvania to travel to England in search of new victims. Mortals struggle against blood-lust beings who defy death in this dark tale of compulsion, suspense, seduction, and love.
