The University of Minnesota Duluth is preparing to host famous political satirist Mark Russell.

Before there was Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart, TV Guide once referred to Russell as “the funniest man on television."

Credited as the man who made the show happen, Tom Isbell, told Courtney Godfrey on KBJR 6 and Range 11 News Today that Russell actually came out of retirement due to the plethora of material in today's political sector.

Friday's show at UMD's performing arts center will put Russell center stage and allow him to poke fun at the current happenings on Capitol Hill.
