  • Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- Northlanders laced up their shoes for yet another 5K, this time to support those fighting heart disease. Heart disease is the nation's number one killer of men and women, according to the American Heart Association. Spokespeople say walking is one way to keep a healthy heart. Some of those who walked, know the disease all too well. "I wasn't entirely aware of this event and everything that goes on until I had my heart attack, and that made me really aware of the disease, the issues with the disease and how this disease can affect anyone," said Daniel Copeland. The American Heart Association plans to raise $70,000 for the cause this year.
