DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)---Hundreds of people filled Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth Sunday night, jamming to Wilco, the acclaimed sextet from Chicago.

The band performed in Duluth in support of it's latest Grammy nominated release-the Whole Love.

Wilco was formed in the mid-1990s and has released 10 studio albums to date.

Concert organizers say they've stepped up efforts to get big name bands to the Twin Ports area this summer.

"It's a tremendous tourism booster as well as a great emotional lift for the residents of Duluth, Steve Grazier, Owner of North Central Productions said. "Wilco has a great fan base all over the state and tri-state area."

The Northland will host numerous summerconcert events this summer.
