Film showing, speaker to honor MLK

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - There are events going on throughout the Northland Monday to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

An event held Monday evening hopes to open up a public dialogue.

"Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle" will show two documentary films Monday to encourage discussion of civil rights history.

The free program will be held Monday, January 20, with films beginning at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m at Zinema 2 on Duluth's Superior Street.

The program will feature speaker Robin Washington of the Duluth News Tribune at 6:30 p.m., with audience questions following at 7:30 p.m. That portion of the program will be held at the Zeitgeist Atrium, also along Duluth's Superior Street.
