Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - According to the Minnesota Department of Health, northeastern Minnesota has some of the highest hypertension rates in the state.

To help bring those rates down, Minnesota is one of nine states to receive funding for the Million Hearts Learning Collaborative.

The $140,000 grant, from the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, will help health professionals in Minnesota reach the goal of preventing heart attacks and strokes.
