Spicy Sausage Amatrice

1 c. Bacon, cut up
1 lb. Bulk Italian sausage
1 each red, yellow, and green bell pepper, diced
1 c. Red onion, diced
1 oz. Garlic, minced
2 qt. Pomodoro sauce
1/2 c. Heavy cream
1/4 c. Grated romano cheese
Red pepper flakes (amount depends on desired kick)
1 lb. Buccatini, pappardelle or penne pasta

Sauté bacon and sausage until browned. Remove from pan and drain excess fat. Add onion and peppers to the fry pan with a small amount of oil and one box of butter. Sauté until it's translucent. Add garlic and sauté another minute. Season with salt and pepper. Add the meat back into the pan. Add few sprinkles of red pepper flakes. Add pomodoro sauce and let simmer five minutes. Add the cream and Romano cheese. Precook the pasta of choice until al dente. Drain and top the pasta with the sauce. Garnish with parmesan cheese and parsley.
