Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton expressed support for the art community of Northwestern Wisconsin while visiting Superior today.
V-I-P pizza, which recently relocated to the building formerly occupied by the third rock bar, hosted the Lt. Governor, showing off a major overhaul of the building.
The upgraded facility boasts beautiful murals painted by local artist Tom Napoli.
The Superior Business Improvement District executive director, Kaye Tenerelli, says the art community is an economic driver and when business and artists collaborate good things happen.
"This is an unbelievable transformation of a business space but also this business owner understands the importance of art and architecture within a building and what it does."
Lawton also shared some insight with attendees on how to bring more artists into Superior.
