Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Bicycling continues to be a growing movement across the Northland.

It's a free alternative to travelling by car and provides great exercise.

For Northlanders who might be in need of a bicycle, but can't come up with the cash, there is an alternative and it comes with some education.

The Bike Cave in Duluth is creating access to bicycles for everyone.

"We are a volunteer run/donation run bike shop in Duluth and everything here is free. There's no money exchanged. Anyone is welcome to come," said Chelsea Froenke.

The Bike Cave is run completely by volunteers and functions on a skill-trade system.

Those who wish to build a bicycle can trade parts, knowledge, volunteer hours or even food for the community as payment for a bicycle.
