Cook, MN (NNCNOW.com) ---Cook Hospital CEO, Al Vogt, has been acknowledged as a Health Department hero in Minnesota.
"Recently I was very honored and humbled to receive the Rural Health Hero award from the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care in the State of Minnesota," he said.
The award was given to Vogt because of his leadership and commitment to helping his community, co-workers and patients
In the 37 years that Vogt has worked at the Cook Hospital he has also been recognized for many other awards, including the Employer of the Year award for encouraging his co-workers.
He has served on the State Nursing Home and State Hospital Board of Trustees, he has been a board member of SISU Medical Solutions, and helped form the Minnesota Wilderness Health Care Coalition.
