Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UnitedHealth Group is donating $10,000 to the Red Cross in support of its flood-recovery efforts in Duluth.
“Our thoughts are with the people who were affected by the severe floods in Duluth,” said Kate Rubin, vice president of Social Responsibility and president of United Health Foundation. “We are working with the Red Cross on supporting relief efforts and will continue to monitor this situation closely.”
Through a $500,000 annual commitment, UnitedHealth Group participates in the Annual Disaster Giving Program of the American Red Cross, which is offering shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to people in the affected communities.
UnitedHealth Group employs more than 900 people at its Duluth facility.
