Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The recent devastating flood in Duluth has resulted in washouts and road degradation.

West Skyline Parkway just past Spirit Mountain was washed out creating a 15 foot wide ravine. Approximately 13 households live along the Parkway.

The City of Duluth Police Department has developed a plan to provide assistance to residents in the meantime.

- Contact points have been established with neighbors in the area who have the capacity to assist with emergency situations to communicate and coordinate with emergency personnel.
- City emergency personnel and its partners stand ready and able to assist with emergency evacuations.
