Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- June's flooding left millions of dollars in damage across the Northland, including the Chester Creek in Duluth.

The massive flooding damaged several bridges and left tons of debris that will need to be removed before the skiing season begins.

Volunteers have already cleaned up some of the fallen trees and debris but there's a lot of work left to be done.

That's why residents across the Twin Ports are being invited to a fundraiser event to help pay for improvements to the Chester Creek area.

A Saturday, July 21st from 2pm to 7pm local bands will be performing at the parking lot of the Chester Creek Cafe. Food and drinks will also be available to those who show up for this fundraising event.

Other attractions include beer and wine sampling in exchange for a donation, as well as prizes that attendees can win that have been donated by local businesses.

Also making an appearance at the event will be Terry Degner, author of My Brave Little Man.
