St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Governor Mark Dayton and Legislative leaders have signed an agreement outlining the terms of the special session.
The legislature will be called into session on Friday, August 24th at 2pm at the Capitol.
During the special session, state lawmakers will only discuss the 2012 Disaster Relief Appropriation Bill and vote on whether or not to approve $167 million to help communities affected by June's flooding.
Under this declaration, the special session must be concluded in one day and lawmakers will adjourn no later than 7am on Saturday, August 25th.
Money will come from the budget reserve and the surplus remaining from the previous budget year.
