Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Television networks KBJR, KRII and KDLH will work in conjunction with WDIO/WIRT,WDSE and FOX 21 to broadcast a special flood relief telethon on Thursday, July 12th at 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The live telethon broadcast will feature personalities from each of the stations and will be on hand to answer calls.
"Northlanders are known for their resilience and can-do attitudes," said David Jensch, vice-president and station manager of the Northland's NewsCenter. "They also are known for lending a helping hand whenever it is needed; and it's definitely needed now."
Proceeds from the telethon will go to the United Way's long-term flood recovery fund.
