Washington, D.C. (Northland's NewsCenter) --- U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will make her way to Duluth on Friday to assess the damage caused by the severe flooding in the Northland.
Sen. Klobuchar will discuss recovery efforts with state and local officials during her visit to Duluth.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Duluth and the surrounding communities who have been impacted by the severe and widespread flooding,” Klobuchar said.
Klobuchar is already in contact with the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) about securing federal assistance to help with the recovery efforts in Duluth and the surrounding communities.
