Duluth, MN (Northlands NewsCenter)
-- For five Superior children, when life gave them lemons, they turned it into 300 dollars.
After hearing about the substantial damage the Lake Superior Zoo suffered during the flood, these boys and girls decided to help the only way they know how.
Their lemonade, and Kool-Aid stand was a big hit, raking in hundreds of dollars. They delivered the funds straight to the zoo.
The children are frequent visitors to the Zoo, and didn't take the news of the affected animals well.
"They were devastated to hear what happened with the flood and the Zoo and they decided they wanted to do something and what better way for kids to raise money than a lemonade stand."
The final total was a hair over 300 dollars.
Zoo officials were delighted when the little guys and girls handed over the money, and a picture of their stand.
