Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)--- Dancers from the School of the Minnesota Ballet got a chance to show off their skills Friday in the Student Summer Showcase
Nearly 20 students have been working for the last six weeks to perfect their dance skills in the school's summer intensive dance program.
They spent the last three weeks coming up with their own choreography to share with the public today at the Duluth library plaza.
Everything from jazz and modern dance to musical theatre and tap was on display.
"I'm so proud that we have an institution like the Minnesota Ballet and the School of the MInnesota Ballet and that we're able to offer the kind of dance training that we are and that we have all these young children that are so invested in the arts and their passion for dance just keeps me excited," said Robert Gardner, artistic Director for the Minnesota Ballet.
The dancers performed to pieces from Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Hair.
