Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- It's a warning that empty food containers and wildlife do not mix and the combination could prove deadly.

A video taken Thursday night by Mary Kay Carlson shows a one-year-old doe that got her head stuck in a cheese ball container.

The deer had been wandering around the Piedmont Neighborhood in Duluth since May 1st attempting to dislodge the container.

Peggy and Ian Aldrich freed her Friday afternoon, and they're urging people to clean out and crush their large containers so other deer can't get stuck.

Ian volunteers with the nonprofit wildlife-rehab organization, Wildwoods. He said the deer is very weak as it hasn't ate or drank for over a week, and he urges community members to keep their dogs on leashes for the next three to four weeks so the deer can regain her strength.
