International Falls, MN (NNCNOW.com) ---Dozens of nurses held an informational picket at the Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls.

For the past eight months, the Minnesota Nurses Association has been negotiating a contract with RLMC management.

The hospital would like to include a management rights clause into the next three year contract.

The 27-nurses in the bargaining unit fear the provision could lead management to make arbitrary decisions that impact nursing practice and patient safety.

Contract talks between the union and hospital ended with no agreement on April 15.

No new formal negotiations have been scheduled at this time.
