Eden Praire, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The investigation into the death of a former UMD softball player is now closed.
Mandy Matula, of Eden Prairie was 24 when she died of a gunshot wound to her head.
Her body was found about six months later in a shallow grave just north of St. Cloud.
This week, the Eden Prairie Police Department released of police documents and audio clips related to the investigation, according to the Star Tribune.
The police's only suspect, Matula's ex-boyfriend David Roe, committed suicide the day after she was reported missing.
Matula was a starting pitcher and player for the Bulldogs from 2007 to 2011.
