One of the upper Midwest's largest family owned boat dealers in Hermantown is closing... with the president calling it the worst market he's seen in nearly three decades.

The Hermantown store is just one of 12 stores that the boat retailer Crystal-Pierz Marine will be closing.

That includes the lay off of two-thirds the company's 150 employees.

Cuts in the parts and service departments went into effect immediately.

After liquidating more than 700 units, the sales positions will be eliminated.

The stores are expected to close in a few weeks.
