130 Animals Seized on Report of Animal Cruelty in Cass County

Pine River, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Formal charges are pending in connection with an investigation into the report of animal cruelty that resulted in about 130 animals being seized.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Tuesday in connection with an ongoing investigation of animal cruelty.

102 dogs and 29 puppies were seized in the search.

The search warrant was conducted by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Animal Humane Society, the Pine River Police Department and Heartland Animal Rescue Team.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation with the Animal Humane Society.
