18 year old suspect arrested in Esko School bomb threat

Esko, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- An 18 year old suspect has been arrested in connection with the Esko School bomb threat from earlier this week.

The suspect is currently in custody at the Carlton County Jail awaiting formal charges of Felony Terroristic Threats.

According to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, a written bomb threat was found in the Esko School around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

All K-12 students were then evacuated to St. Matthews Church.

Police say they did not find explosive devices or suspicious items following an extensive search of the school.

Law Enforcement from Thomson Township, Carlton County Sheriff’s Office, Cloquet Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, FBI, along with the Esko Fire Department responded to the incident.
