Siren, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Charges have been filed in connection with a car crash near Siren, Wisconsin over the weekend that sent three children to the hospital.

Jennifer Marie Smith, 38, was charged with causing injury while driving under the influence.

Officials say Smith lost control of her car Friday night on Highway 70, slid into the ditch and struck a tree.

A three-year-old and two one-month olds were in the car at the time of the accident.

The one-month olds were airlifted to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul with life threatening injuries.

Both Smith and the three year old sustained non-life threatening injuries.

All children were in child safety seats.

The crash remains under investigation.
