Timothy Caskey pleads guilty: Ex-wife relieved

Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) - 42-year-old Timothy Glen Caskey of Virginia pleaded guilty Thursday to kidnapping and bank robbery at a federal court in Minneapolis.

Caskey admitted that on July 14, 2011, he kidnapped his estranged wife Roberta and took her across state lines against her will.

In addition, Caskey pleaded guilty to robbing the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa, Kansas, on July 15, 2011.

Roberta was taken by force while taking a walk in Virginia.

Her kidnapping sparked a nationwide manhunt. relieved

Roberta Caskey spoke with reporters late Friday night, expressing her relief.

"He kidnapped me in front of my child and it was very traumatic for me and my child, and I'm just relived that we don't have to go on the witness stand and testify. It's a big relief," she said.

Sentencing is expected in three to four months.
