Armed Robbers Hit Three Northland Gas Stations in Past Week

(NNCNOW.com)-- A series of armed robberies across the Northland have authorities on edge.

Three suspects, accused of robbing a gas station in Douglas County at gun point over the weekend are now in custody, but at least two other armed robberies remain under investigation.

Two teens were arrested in connection with the JT's hold up Monday night while a third suspect, a 16-year-old boy, was arrested Tuesday morning after a standoff with authorities in Sawyer County.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, two women, ages 17 and 18 were taken into custody in Sawyer County yesterday evening after their pictures were shown on the news.

Meanwhile, two suspects remain at large after an attempted armed robbery at the Triple G gas station in Cable, Wisconsin Monday night.

Authorities are looking for a two men, in their 20s.

One suspect is believed to be white; the other's race is unknown.

Employees at the gas station saw a full size, black, pick up truck with dual rear tires parked near the store before the attempted robbery took place.

Authorities are unsure if there is a connection between the suspects and the truck.

Meanwhile Duluth police are still searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at the ICO gas station on 6th Avenue East on Wednesday of last week.

That suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He's described as a white or possibly Native American man about 5 feet tall with a stocky build.
