At Least Two Dead in Minneapolis Shooting

Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Several are in critical condition and at least two person is dead after a report of a shooting in the Bryn Mawr Neighborhood in Minneapolis on Thursday afternoon.

KARE 11 reports the situation started at about 4 p.m. with reports of a shooting in the area near Chestnut and Queen Avenue South.

SWAT Team officials were called to the scene in search of a gunman. Teams appeared to have a building surrounded.

A neighbor tells KARE 11 that an employee of Accent Signage Systems, came to their home seeking refuge from the alleged shooter.

Governor Mark Dayton released this statement Thursday night:
"I deplore this senseless violence. There is no place for it anywhere in Minnesota. I extend my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the innocent people killed or wounded."

The people that are in critical condition were taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, according to hospital officials.
