Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com)--- The attorney for a Superior woman who alleges that a Superior Police Officer used excessive force in arresting her outside the Keyport Lounge, has filed a motion in an attempt to force the Douglas County district attorney to turn over the results of the State's investigation into the arrest.

Rick Gondik, the defense attorney for Natasha Lancour, filed the motion for discovery last week.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice completed its investigation in early February and handed over the results to District Attorney Dan Blank.

It's up to Blank whether to file criminal charges against George Gothner, the officer who made the arrest.

Gondik says the report could be crucial to his defense of Natasha Lancour who is charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Meanwhile Gondik has filed a request for a speedy trial this week, hoping to bring the matter before a jury as soon as possible.

"I'm gonna force this issue one way or the other. I don't think we'll find 12 people on planet earth that would convict her of what she's charged with after seeing what happened to her," said Gondik.

A motion hearing will be held Wednesday in Superior at 3:30.
