Colorado Shooting Suspect Faces Charges

The former neuroscience student accused of killing 12 people and wounding 58 others at an Aurora, Colorado movie theatre has been charged.

James Eagan Holmes, 24, was in court Monday and faces 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder, according to NBC.com.

Holmes, a University of Colorado graduate student, allegedley went on a shooting rampage at the midnight permiere of "A Dark Knight Rises" on July 20, and wiring his apartment with enough explosives to have leveled the building, NBC reports.
