Wascott, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Authorities have seized more than 29 grams of heroin following a narcotics investigation in rural Douglas County.
Odis Trehern Jones, 35 of Duluth was arrested on Highway 53 in Wascott Township in Douglas County after authorities executed a search warrant on his vehicle.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's office, the heroin had an estimated street value of more than $7,400.
Jones is charged with a felony count of possession with the intent to deliver heroin. If convicted he faces a fine up to $100,000 and/or 25 years in prison.
Jones was also charged with felony bail jumping. Before his arrest, Jones was subject to bail conditions in Douglas County on a pending case involving the distribution of cocaine.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Superior Police Department Narcotics Unit, Wisconsin State Patrol and Milwaukee Police Department in the investigation.
